THE PAUL J. BATTAGLIA MARATHON 2024

This year, WHRW celebrates the 22nd anniversary of the Paul J. Battaglia Marathon! This tradition was started to help fundraise money for the Paul J. Battaglia scholarship fund, which was created in honor of one of WHRW’s former General Managers (1998-2000). After graduating from Binghamton University’s School of Management in 2000, he got a job working for Marsh Risk Consulting in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. Paul passed away in the terror attacks of 9/11, and in his honor the scholarship fund was started, and so was WHRW’s annual PJB Marathon. Every year, we broadcast a full 24 hours of programming to celebrate Paul’s life and his contributions to the station.

The Paul J. Battaglia Marathon will be running from 1 PM on Friday, March 22nd until 1 PM on Saturday, March 23rd. We will be playing games, holding skits, and more on air. You can listen to Marathon this year by checking out our web stream right here at whrw.fm, or by tuning in to 90.5FM while in the Greater Binghamton area.
